And here all this time been using the composted manure from the barns and coops. The snow does smell quite a bit better.
It is now almost 7:15 pm, and it is still snowing , so I estimate about 1' (30cm) of snow has fallen thus far.

Hey Styric, your stuff looks about a week ahead of mine. It was lovely and warm yesterday, and cold, rainy and damp today. I have the first crocus noses showing too, your tulips are higher than mine, and I haven't seen clemmie buds yet!

Those tulips are in a very sheltered raised spot. The crocus aren't, they're still in partially frozen ground. The clemmie is also in a very sheltered spot where it's protected from north, east and south wind.
The most effective mosquito repellent is a shotgun.

love all the signs of spring but Lulu is right!!! love that snake...great capture Dan! brought home a new leopard gheko yesterday to add to the collection 
sorry about the snow Dan...saw the same S#%$ when we were in Bradford last week!!
came home to an array of springs first blooms............and weeds
but did see a magnolia blooming in Niagara Falls

Dan- It looks like a red admiral butterfly on your forsythia. We have had an early explosion of red admirals here. Apparently, they were lured north from Texas by the extremely warm weather of early spring. I was surprised to see one in your pics. Guess they have made it that far north, eh?
