Frittelaria is in full bloom
One of the first major flowers blooming in my gardens is Frittelaria. I planted it to deter moles and voles since supposidly they don't like the smell of them. So far, it is working.
They have doubled in size this year and now have babies growing along side of them:
Perennial Aubretia is in full bloom too:

Re: Frittelaria is in full bloom
My first close encounter of Frittelaria was at Casa Loma in Toronto many years ago. They had some wonderful swathes of it. I really liked it but have never grown any. Now I don't have the room.
Your Aubretia is gorgeous. Mine's only about 3 years old for this house, and I'm probably looking at waiting a few more days.
I do have a clematis 'Bluebird', covered in buds about to burst forth! lol

All are lovely. I want a Frittelaria. Adding to my list.
