20 years.
20 years ago I moved back to my old home.I brought Dog Toothed Violets with me.They spread and seemed healthy but nary a bloom.Today I was thrilled to find this.

That is a long time to wait for a bloom ..... you are very patient .... glad for you and maybe now that one has flowered more will copy-cat ... (insert smiling smiley)

I have patches of them thru the woods adjacent to my yard. In one 10' X 10' patch there is not a single bloom.
However, one isolated plant, divorced from any big patch, flowers every year like clockwork. Hmmmmm....
