My goodness Brenda, thats a lovely Clematis and very early too. Must be an "alpine" variety. At our previous home I had a pink alpine Clematis that bloomed in May.
I also have a Bluebird Cematis but its a summer bloomer.

Very nice!
I have one too, but I moved it last fall, and it hasn't woken up yet. Mind you it was hailing and snowing for part of the day today, so I haven't been out much either!
We are just getting our first leaves slowly this week. We are told we will be up to 20 degrees this weekend, but today it has only warmed up to 6 so far.
My pink flamingo is greening up right now though - so something's happening.

It is amazing how advanced the growth is in your part of the country. My Bluebird's foliage has just unfurled at this point, and am not expecting bloom for at least another 2 weeks.

Is most definitely clemmis season here...these guys twine themselves around my heart.
I am thinking it might just be my best season yet, and I grow a lot of them.
Nope, no pictures...you'll have to take my word for it...and show off your own beauties!
(and this one WAS, most definitely!)

Your clemmie is very lush, BBQ. Do you fertilize it? I don't fertilize mine except for compost but wonder if I should be doing so.
