Nice Neighbour!

Our next door neighbour has a lovely garden. She doesn't know the names, or even how to tend some of her plants, (I gave her a PJM last year as a thank-you for looking after my garden when we were away for a weekend. I noticed that in the Fall she had cut it back to the ground, thereby eliminating any possibility of it blooming this spring!), but she has some gorgeous specimens.
She can't see this from her property, but we get to enjoy it every day as it is so close to our property. I've asked her for the name, but no doubt she has no idea.

I believe it's called a Bearded Orinoco Flow Iris. Here's a link, this one is a bit darker in color but looks almost identical.

They come in several different shades of blue & purple. So pretty though. If I could get my hands on one I'd put one in my garden. My boyfriend's Mom gave me an Iris but it hasn't bloomed yet so I'm not sure what color it is exactly, she told me it was purple last year and it is the type with variegated leaves but I'm excited to see what it looks like when it blooms.
