Peony - Sharon
Hi Sharon,
Many years ago you sent me some seeds and I sowed them at my son's place in Connecticut. These are peonies I believe which I have never seen bloom as my son always forgot to take the picture. Well this past week-end they were away and when they got back there was a nice surprise.
So, is this a peony and which one is it??
If Sharon, is not available perhaps someone else can confirm this for me.
Thanks.
Millie

Re: Peony - Sharon
The deep red-pink blooms are peonies, the single or semi-double type. It is gorgeous variety!
Leave it to Sharon to send out seeds that turn out that beautifully.

Thank you Trish! I have never seen one like that. Not sure if that is a rose to it or another peony. In any case haven't been there in spring in a long time to take out that hosta, did remove one long time ago but guess some roots were left in the soil.

I'm not sure, either. The picture isn't clear enough to say, although the shape of the light blooms and the foliage around them do resemble peonies.
The hosta adds charm!
