For the blog I use WordPress. Simple to use and never fails.
My blog/garden journal for pictures is not cluttered and there are thousands of pictures. From a shoot to placing pictures on the internet takes a few minutes.

The pictures are easy to view and much information can be supplied, since many pictures can be used. All picture sent by Email use the same system, simply a URL. All this software is relatively low cost. The learning curve only takes a bit of application.
