I had one of those "cuties" many moons ago when I was in skool! Of course I let hubby use it for sumthin' and it diskappeared!

One of the great mysteries of our age Ven! My new garden area is 150 sq feet but I know pnce I start planting it it's gonna shrink!

Lots of prep work still needed...the dirt that was underneath is rock solid, so it needs to be dug up then I'll put a layer of leaves down before I pread the dirt..lots of grunt work left...my neighbour (who has been helping me with this project) has already asked me to leave him some dirt to play in...with! I guess the bug spreads...kinda like a virus!LOL

YAY for girl power Kelly!Excellant job. I still use an older gardener's help model..it is well used but still digs where I tell it too, but does move a lot slower these days...lol..sometimes I have to refuel it with favorite snacks and meals .My garden model quite often needs an afternoon recharging in the prone position in the lazy boy..haha..savona

Here is the garden as of today....all dug up, waiting patiently for a spread of leaves so I can then layer with topsoil. It's not the greatest topsoil but it was free....

Since it was a driveway, the soil and sand was very much compacted...a spade and some elbow grease (mine on that part!) got it done.

The pile is not huge, so I may have to get more free soil.....
