Our big project this year - Progress report on page 3!
I will be doing some planting before I leave for holidays and I expect that once we get back there will be something worth capturing on film.

Looking forward to it Lyn. Love seeing what everyone else is up to.
Edited to add: I love your line: "All I ask is a chance to prove that money can't make me happy"...isn't that the truth?!

Oh so pretty so far, Lyn! I have a garden FULL of thyme. It spreads well, turns purple with blossoms in mid-summer, and tiny bees love it. I can even walk amongst them without ever getting stung, they are so absorbed. (I bet it would make great honey)
If it's shady, then blue periwinkle is really nice as a ground cover also.

There is lots of stuff popping up in there Diane. The problem is I don't know if it's the flower and thyme seeds I spread around or weeds!
I guess I'll be able to tell in a couple of weeks.
Scrap - that was on one of those e-mails that get passed around. I just thought it was too true!

I haven't weeded anything yet. just no time and my place is looking like H&&l I have cried & cried ,really cause it just isn't me not to have things looking nice Neighbors have even noticed and commented. which doesn't help the depression get any better

Eeyore wrote:This is a perfect area for a winter garden as it is readily visible from the living room, so yes, nice winter shrubs are a must! The big blocks are gone. I want low maintenance so the shrubs must be non suckering and not prone to aphids or other bugs. The perennials, must be the same! I want to enjoy my garden, not be a slave to it. Yes, I enjoy the labour... to an extent....

Gosh if you were handy I sure could give you lots of ground covers and lots of other plants and give to any one of you too. Plants cost so much.
Things are just too over grown an I need to garbage so much but would rather give them away and had no time to dig plants for a sale this year
So many plants and no more room for them. I had 32 gardens before I was hurt so cut back to 14 and now they are back up there to 18 again but stopping at that
I hate having to throw big healthy plants in the garbage.
it a hell of a time of year to have to study and write exams isn't it
. Grrr
