Are you putting fish in the pond?And I so agree on the shelf thing you need to make sure kids can get out even my bigger pond has one oh and i put a few petrified roots across it so the birdies can get out if they fall in..

Looking good! What major progress you guys have made.
I'll look forward to seeing it with the plants around it, etc. Just a thought - but if you plant MGs, virginia creeper, or some other viney thing in a container right close to that gas pipe, I bet you can train it to surround the pipe and cover it up. I also agree that the shelf is a good idea. Better safe than sorry.

Wow...what a transformation. You and your family's hard work is definitely paying off.
You might what to call someone (ie. heating and/or gas handyman) about the line...maybe it could be sautered off or capped somehow.

Hubby seems to be ahndy kinda guy, I'm sure between the 2 of you you can come up with a solution.... Maybe a lattice screen....
