Mosquitos in rain barrel
Hi Cindy
Thanks for the reply. Is that solution of barrier, soap, water and oil ok to water plants with? Also, I live in London Ontario. Do you or anyone know of a local supplier of the barrier(concentrated garlic oil)?
Thanks to Durgan for the reply as well.

I would go out to your local pet shop and buy a couple of feeder goldfish and put a few in each of the barrels. They love mosquito larvae and will keep your rainbarrels from becoming breeding grounds. A Cheap way to solve the problem. We get fish 10 for 2.00 and you can always bring them in for the winter. O

Surely that video is one of the most perfect examples of how not to install a backyard rain barrel system. That is the type of silly information that discourages people in the long run, if they are so unknowledgeable as to install using the advice presented..
