At last - THE Shed!
Well, not built just yet, but it has been started today.
It's going to be a very plain 10 x 10, and I've bought windows to put in it. We'll dress it up with bold black wrought iron hardware, and window boxes, and I get to have a new flower bed alongside the shed and behind the arbor.
It'll be a work in progress once the shed is erected, and will develop as things progress.
I can't believe I am as excited as I am over a 'shed'!
I've got three Japanese Dappled Willows waiting in the sidelines, three more clematis, and perennial geraniums which need a new home. I've also got a couple of hostas which are begging for a new home. So, it's not going to be too difficult to fill up a new bed.

Can't wait to see the finished shed. When my garden shed was built I took before, during and after pictures can't wait to see your shed. I have a big window in my garden shed, it was the living room window from my home when I was a kid so it's big.
You're braver then you believe, stronger then you seem, and smarter than you think.

Here's a pic from today! Things are coming along very nicely. I ordered a weathervane and attachment from Lee Valley on Wednesday, and it arrived today... gosh they are so good! Highly recommended company. The shingles will be installed tomorrow apparently, and the weathervane attached.
We need to pick up some paint and the hardware tomorrow. It looks as though it's going to be completed PDQ!
And then the planting will begin!

Brenda! What a shed - great size and larger than the room I am
in now! Oh, its going to look so purdy with all your planting. I'm
envious with a very out dated old metal thing ..... rusty roof and all.

If dandelions were hard to grow, they would be most welcome on any lawn. ~Andrew Mason

ohhh wow that is soooo nice!!!!! I too am a bit jealous, but alas I have no where to put a shed that size hehehe. We're looking for a tall narrow one to put between the path and the fence, I had a deck box, but everything got lost in it, now we want an upright one.
Can't wait to see it painted and planted. Why am I picturing some vines growing up it???/

I know, it looks huge, but just 10' x 10'!!
The lawn tractor, the push mower, all the garden tools - in fact, anything to do with the garden, will be going in there.
No more hosepipes brought into the basement for the winter, in which 'snakes' can hitch a ride.
The body of the shed will be French Vanilla, (pale creamy yellow), and the trim will be white.
The shingles will be 2-tone black, to match the house.
We've got some black decorative wrought iron hardware to attach.
I have a copper weather vane to attach also.
~ and yes, Ven, there will be some more vines growing on it; I have 3 Clematis waiting patiently!
~ and two window boxes.

This is Day 4!
Almost complete. Another coat of paint is needed. The windows arrive tomorrow, for installation. Then it's just applying the wrought iron doo-dads to pretty it up. I have window boxes to put up underneath the windows, and then, of course, the plantings!
