That creeping jenny does look pretty, just floating in there..... I'm enthralled with all that you've accomplished turning this cistern into a beautiful water feature. Most of us wouldn't have even realized that such a transformation was a possiblity. I hope that you and your husband are proud of your accomplishment.

Hi there Daisy, Just wondering how your filter is doing and if those creeping jenny are surviving the water? I have some Jenny around my pond but not in it... think I'm going to give it a try. Also, I'm in the market for a filter and I think I'm gonna give your idea a try as well! Your pond is fantastic!!!

Have you thought of adding a marsh garden to the side of the pond? Apparently marshes are excellent filters. They can even be used to treat sewage. Simply pump the water into the marsh and let it drain back into the pool.
