I think the kind you trowel on is supposed to have a better finish then the roll on kind. But I don't know for sure. Good luck.

That looks really good Daisy.
Presumably you'll be adding a bit of trim, or waterproof filler, at the junction of the concrete and the house, to stop water getting in the small opening.
This is something we have to do, as the previous filler on our steps is wearing away, and allowing water to get in behind the concrete pad, which I suppose could cause it to crack at some point!
Anyway, looks you guys have done another great job, and the addition of more grey really makes your entrance door pop now.
