Full sun privacy hedge

Postby edmonton_garden » Jun 19, 2010 7:13 pm

Hi, I am in Edmonton (Zone 3) and I would like to use a nice, thick hedge for privacy between my front yard and my neighbours.

My needs are; Thick, 7'-10' or taller, full sun (first sun to about 4pm), does not need to flower, very hardy.

Any sugestions :?: :?:

If a thick hedge is wat you are looking for, I would try planting either cedar trees, or the tall original caragahna species. You can get these pretty cheap at Boughen Nurseries in Valley River MB. They have been around for 100 yrs and are a mail order company. Most of their bigger trees are sent via Greyhound.
Hope this has helped a bit
