I have a question

I just bought a beautiful red Kalanchoe Blossfeldiana Entretien. I was going to plant it in the garden in the morning, but just read that they are poisonous to cats. We do have a stray cat in the neighborhood, which sometimes goes in my garden. Any ideas???

Can you keep it in a pot in an area the cat doesn't frequent?
