build a treehouse?

Hi,

I lived in Mississauga, Ontario, I want to build a treehouse for my son, where can I find the information about it? do I need a permit?

I've never built in Mississauga. So I can't say for sure what the regulations are there. But, if I had to guess, I would say that tree-houses are probably illegal. 'Coz if they were legal, there would be all kinds of regulations governing their construction.

There are some projects that the building inspectors must know about and inspect. There are others that they really don't want to know about. A tree-house would fall in the 2nd category.

Keep safety in mind as u build it. Anchor it well, put railings on any high platforms, no protruding nails, good, solid ladders . . . and such. Keep in mind that there may be more kids up there at times than u bargained on. lol
