Re: how many of us knew about illuminated planters?
I have to agree with Scrap, they're just not my cuppa. In the right situation (city balcony???) they probably have their application, but give me stone, concrete or wood, where algae or moss growth is welcome, and a little dirt will wash off in the next rainfall. Gardening is already labour intensive as it is, can't picture myself having to scrub dirt from pots to achieve a pristine look. This is only my opinion, and am sure those who have bought and used them have done so with a beautiful outcome

Oh yes, definitely more my thing. I like stuff with a bit of old world feel...just seems more garden-y...at least to me.
Dan...you are so spot on...those illuminated planters on a streamlined balcony would be. They have a modern fee.
