Hummingbirds
Put up my feeder on Mothers Day and voila... the next morning had a visitor. Its the first year I've seen one this early.

How exciting for you. They are such a lovely visitor.
Here in S.E. Ontario we've been fortunate to have them around for a few weeks, but no matter how many times a day I see them I always get a thrill.

Mine's up too, and the paper said they were spotted in town last week, but haven't seen any yet. Meanwhile, it has snowed, hailed and rained with periods of sun all week, so maybe it is too cold for them too.
My furnace just kicked on again - I am tired of cold....

Re: Hummingbirds
Finally saw one yesterday while working in the veggie beds. He sat on the clematis tower at the end of the raised bed and just watched me watching him. So beautiful!
