Mosquito Control :)
I think the first rule of Mosquito control is to eliminate standing water wherever u can. And I used to do this always... it's easily done after all. But now, with hungry Goldfish, I have a different method of dealing with the little biters.
Four small, white plastic buckets set out in the brush. The rain collects soon enuf in them or I keep them balanced to abt 3 to 4 cups of water. Just enuf for the females to lay their eggs.
I check them every day.
With white buckets u can see the larvae wiggling in the water as soon as the eggs hatch. At that point I dump the water, larvae, unhatched eggs, and anything else into the fish pond.
And I smile while I'm dumping! lol

Love it!
I lived in Africa for a couple of years and came in close contact with mosquitoes, but never anything like the number in Canada! No-one warned us about the bugs; we may have had second thoughts about emigrating had we known! lol

I keep a couple of goldfish in our rainbarrel. Those little fishies sure like mosquito larvae, don't they?

Geez we don't have enough water in my area to even keep a rain barrel full to keep fish in!
