Wednesday Afternoon!
We're getting our first snowfall - it's only gentle, but some colour caught my eye at the feeder.
Look who came for a late lunch!

Mr. C

Then Mrs. C

And, no-one told this Junco that he's a ground feeder!

Re: Wednesday Afternoon!
I'm green with envy. I've never seen a cardinal and probably never will.
I just looked out the window and saw that it's snowing here too, and I'm not happy about it because we're heading to Wpg. tomorrow. Temperatures hovering around zero don't make for good highway conditions.
Gee, I sound really grumpy. I actually logged in to say I liked your picture BBQ, Lol.

Oh BBQ...how absolutely PERFECT! I'm never gonna see a live pair and I look so avidly for pics of them when folks post...the Cardinals are such beauties and I love them.
The Juncoes...no one has told my flock of close to 50 (oregon and slate) that they are spozed to be ground feeders either, and nobunny told the so called common sparrows that they too are ground feeders, and absolutely NOBUNNY told the blankety-blank pigeons that THEY are supposed to be ground feeders too! Thank goodness Spotted Towhees are not confused and know where to look for their meals!

We have some dumb Doves here too, who occasion the kitchen windowsill feeder. They will look back at us through the window & say "what".

Very nice BBQ. I'll never see a pair in person either so I'm living viacriously!

What a pretty picture. There has been cardinal sightings near me but so far I have never seen any.
My sister who lives approx 300 miles south to me in NS has a pair at her feeder on a regular basis.
I tell my ground feeders not to come complaining to me when the blue jays are eating their food, I have seen them stealing theirs at times too!
They take what they can get, wherever they can get it on wintery days.

If I were a bird (which I've wished I were a million times) I'd fly to your outdoor diner every chance available, BBQ. Classy joint! Is there a dress code? laffs
MareE;o} haven't sighted a Cardinal yet and never a Junco
