Re: Supper Nov. 28
I love fish &chips. Tonight I am out to "The Blue Plate Diner" and then to see "A Christmas Carol" at The Citadel.

Fish & chips! Love 'em!
I almost put out a call for ideas for my supper tonight. I didn't feel like cooking, even though I had lots to choose from after my trip to Costco yesterday. DH was gone all day to Peterborough, so I couldn't ask him!
I eventually decided to build a meal around some Savoy cabbage I had left over!
So, Savoy Cabbage, Pork Chop and Roast Tatties. I made a very healthy gravy with shallots, chicken stock, which I thickened with a little Dijon mustard and about half an ounce of butter!
It was surprisingly tasty! And HE is doing the clearing up!

Re: Supper Nov. 28
Ron and Brenda...both suppers look great.
We had fish as well: pan fried sole with a lemon-dill sauce, along with rice, carrots, broccoli and cheese sauce. The kids must have been hungry because they ate really well. The dessert of brownies and ice cream went down pretty easy too!
I noticed that desserts are infrequently posted. Is it just my family? If I DON'T serve something that resembles dessert, there is anarchy.

We don't eat desserts very often.
a) I don't have a sweet tooth
b) My DH now has diabetes
I will occasionally make a creme caramel, creme brulee or pannacotta, as those are the sorts of desserts I do like.
We often have fruit, or grapes, cheese and crackers, a little later in the evening. We both have a passion for cheese.

Desserts are rare here as well, usually only Sunday dinners with the kids home.
Evening snacks for me are crackers & a can of sardines, smoked mussels or oysters.
