I did realize the male was a downy but after rereading my post I see that it gave the impression it was also a Harry. :oops:

So lovely! She looks so possessive and happy with her bag o' suet, doesn't she? You done good, hanging that, and capturing her pleasure.

These are really very nice photos Ron, and are a great illustration of the differences between the two species. BTW In the west here we dont have the tail differences to refer too. Out here and in the field, our best clue for distinguishing these two is the bill size in comparison to the head, but also the size, period. Great captures Ron, your photos are really getting some snap to them!

Thanks for pointing out the differences. Rick had mentioned them just prior to reading BBès post and she confirmed what heèd said. Very nice photos indeed!

Thanks for the complimentary comments folks. I must say that I am pleased with the quality of photos this relatively inexpensive camera is capable of.
