These are really very nice photos Ron, and are a great illustration of the differences between the two species. BTW In the west here we dont have the tail differences to refer too. Out here and in the field, our best clue for distinguishing these two is the bill size in comparison to the head, but also the size, period. Great captures Ron, your photos are really getting some snap to them!
