Give me a reason to buy Canadian!

I am totally PO'd! We bought a small Christmas tree last Sunday at CT. It went on sale today for 1/2 price so DH goes back with the receipt to get a price match. No Go! We have to bring the original one back in the box and RETURN it and then buy one off the floor, IF the original is saleable! What is this sh**? We only bought it a week ago and it's barely out of the box! It's on my floor, set up and decorated! You think I'm going to tear it down because you are an a$$hole? Needless to say a letter will be going to head office and some nasty words were told to the manager at the offending CT, along with a pledge to boycott CT forever!

Retailers are griping that people aren't buying Canadian and yet consumers are putting up with this carp? I hate to say it but Costco and Walmart are much more consumer friendly! Wanna return something? Sure, no problem? Wanna price match? Sure, no problem!

This whole global economy is going to send me into therapy!

I feel your pain...but one has to remember that each CT is individually owned and operated, yet SHOULD follow CT practice, which includes pricematching. But, some stores are run like carp and owners or managers will do whatever the heck they want it seems....well seems in ours too, but, I have been told otherwise.

Okay that probably doesn't make you feel better, but I couldn't send you a FF in time....

If they are identical trees, then why not buy the one on sale and use the receipt from the other one to return it?

I worked for a woman once who expected me to go by the book in every case . . . which I did because she was the boss.Sometimes the "policy" was stupid,as in this case.

I am glad I no longer work with the public.

I found CT very helpful when I had a complaint,they fixed my problem right quick and were very nice about the whole thing.
