CTC sockets are guaranteed for life. I had a ¾" one split & took it into a store for replacement - no, because I could not prove I bought it @ that store. Took it to another CTC store & they exchanged it without question.

I have to say that I like Donna's idea. They'd be none the wiser. Too bad when we have to resort to flim flam but sometimes you gotta do what ya gotta do.

Here's a silly question: can you go to a different CT to do the price change? (prolly not, but thought it might be worth saying....). Did you ask to speak with a manager? ours is very friendly, if I can get past the clerks.

Lyn, my DH works at Canadian Tire here in Lindsay, He is quite appalled at the fact that your CT Manager refused your DH to return your tree for this weeks Sale Price. Normally if you have your receipt from the week before the return policy is you get the Sale Price, as long as your receipt is appropriately dated. He suggests that you speak directly to your Store Dealer, not the Manager in this case. DH says to go above your Store Manager. Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.....

I think most of CT products are not made in Canada

I refused to shop there.

I sued the store owner here who was here at the time and won, he settled out of court with his lawyers who my lawyer and myelf met with and his insurance company and the inurance company's medical team found him at 100% at fault

The store owner yes a franchise, had been sued a few times before me, twice when he owned a stores in Ont and again in NFLD.

He soon packed it up and left 2 months after my lawyer put in for my law suit

Very poor service here and became very poor when they went ware house style a few years ago

Thieir kiddy clerks stock shelves and nothing else. They don't know where anything is. can't blame the school kids, they never were trained for anything

I get better service elsewhere.
