Driving back from Vancouver yesterday took 9 and half hours when it is supposed to take 7. Last 200 kms were the worst, with jack-knifed transports and cars butts-up in the snowbanks. Our road maintenance has been privatized so naturally between Vancouver and Castlegar I saw only 2 plows and only ONE sander, and the snow was so deep on the road my car high centred on the darned highway. VERY glad to get home. Here was the scene from my bedroom deck this morning.

thanks Kel and Smitty. Crikey. I just wanna go to Hawaii at this rate. Unfortunately WORK is getting in the way.

Kat....we have had snow for the last 4 weeks. I have, probably 2 1/2 feet of snow. Have already had to clear the roof.

Let's just quietly steal away and not tell anyone!!

Well....that's okay...all my roads are open, but I still have 4 hours of flying 'for I get out yer way....so you start showing, I'll start driving, we should get to Hawaii about the same time!!

Now that is a bus trip I would sign up for. Seeing as how I need a hip operation, the chances of me snowshoeing to Spokane and getting there before 2015 are not good. Perhaps I can swipe a snow machine. I saw a few yesterday on the hard highway, the traffic was so slow and conditions so rediculous, that people were actually bogging along on thier Bombadiers on hard highway 3.

They were the smart ones!!! the sled may not be the best thing....bouncing around and all that, but I do believe someone on here was talking of a teletransporter at one time....that would be a wonderful way to travel I'd say!
