A smile always comes to my face when I hear this bird in the spring. They do over winter in the warmer parts of the province but it is not very often they do at my place.
But in the spring, even though there can still be snow, hearing their song gives me joy.

Yes,this is a Song Sparrow.They do have the most wonderful song.A pair has made a nest in our clematis vine the last two years.I just love having feathered nieghbors.
