Easy healthy recipies.
Here's a couple recipies I thought I'd share. They're both very easy to make, and super healthy. The first one was from a friend of mine, she used to make a big batch when she was trying to loose weight.
Cabbage Salad

Cabbage shredded, cottage cheese, kidney beans, salsa. That's it. Tonight I shredded about a 1/4 green cabbage, and then added about half a container of cottage cheese, 3/4 container of kidney beans, and then salsa to taste. You can use fat free or whatever kind you want, tonight I used 2% and added some grated cheese. I wasn't worried about the fat, and wanted the extra flavor and protein.
This recipe I got off the baby website. Someone there posted it and it's really yummy. Again she didn't give any amounts so here's what I did.
Kale & Black Beans
________________
oil
1/2 red onion
2 cloves garlic
Saute till soft
add 1-2 tsp each to taste
cumin, curry, turmeric
stir for a min or two.
add 1 can black beans
heat all together
add half bunch of fresh Kale.
cook till green.
I cooked it a bit more till it was soft, I didn't like it too crunchy. I think next time I might try swiss chard or collards. Or instead of adding the greens use some chicken, and a splash of coconut milk. It's yummy.
We had some of each tonight, with some chicken.
