Maytag called me

A very nice young lady from Maytag called me yesterday to say the paper work from Canadian Gardening just landed on her desk and wanted to know what colour, etc I would like.

Delivery should be in January but she left her name and number just in case it isn't here by the first week in February.

The dryer will do everything but fold the clothes. Apparently it has functions to steam and another to remove odours etc...

They deliver, unpack (just think of all the nice cardboard I will have for making a new garden bed), set up the pedestals (which I think have storage drawers in them, another plus), and they will set the washer/dryer on the pedestals. She did say they do not plug in or attach hoses but that is easy. I didn't ask if a vent hose for dryer was included but it might be as the V hose to put cold water to the dryer for the steam is. Not a big deal to get one if it isn't.

I have had a Maytag washer and dryer, top of the line of its time for 15 years. They have been great appliances.

I had a choice of white or some metalic new colour I could not quite understand until she said it was like a beige... so I asked for it. No telling what I am getting, but they are behind closed doors so it doesn't really matter.

I will cover them with balloons when I have my dirty laundry party.

This is when you need them but guess when they are free, you take them any time

When we sold our old house 3 years ago, the new buyers insisted that we left our washer and dryer!
So, when we bought this house we also insisted that the washer and dryer be included in the sale!
Too bad they're such good ones - KitchenAid! Otherwise, I would be lickety-split getting one of them there new-fangled, on a dais, front-loading washer and dryer!
