Great day at the Farmer's Market
I love the St. Albert Farmer's Market but don't get to go as often as I'd like. Today I went with my girlfriend and had a great time spending money on all the fresh produce. I sure love this time of year, I wish every day was a market day! Beets, carrots, peppers, onions, tomatoes...... YUM!!!

Re: Great day at the Farmer's Market
I had Saturday morning off work, so I popped into town to get to our farmer's market and scored, some lovely cylinder beets, a huge head of broccoli, radishes, bison short ribs (our favourite!) and some gnarly bread loaves. MMMMMMM!
I would have bought more but we are heading back down to Vancouver next Saturday, so the fridge purge will have to start soon. I also have to harvest some of my own crops to bring with us.
We ate beans from home and those beets roasted with rosemary last night with a marinated flank steak. I love fresh summer produce!

I love Farmers Markets - in any country, and in any language.
I was disappointed that we didn't get to the St. Lawrence Market on Saturday - we just ran out of time.

I can see our Inge going into such a market & wondering what might be there that she does not grow.

I'll bet Inge is very busy getting her produce to market right now. She'd probably look around and then kick herself for even thinking of growing one more thing!
