Monarch Caterpillar

Pull up a chair and grab a cup of Java for a cozy chat about what's on your mind and what's happening in your neck of the woods. This is a strictly for fun non-gardening topics.

Thanks everyone for your comments. *S*

As of right now, he/she is MIA, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t somewhere on the plant. I’ll check again before leaving for work tonight. It really knows how to hide when it wants to. *LOL*

Lee, I just adore your caterpillar. *S*

Update ... As of today I believe that the caterpillar has gone on a walkabout. Guess this means I will not be seeing it go from the pupate stage to butterfly, but it was great seeing it for a short time on the butterfly weed. *S*

Had the same bug in my dill plants. Never even saw it cuz it was well camouflaged with the yellow dill flowers.

Cam is getting worse and worse, this is the best shot I was able to get of it:

On dill it is unlikely to be a Monarch, they feed almost exclusively on Milkweed. It could be a Black Swallowtail caterpillar though.
