Big Smile, A Topic For You On Your Special Day
Re: Big Smile, A Topic For You On Your Special Day
I mean... poor you! Cooking on your birthday! I hope you have a bottle of wine at least to help you.
Oh I don't mind cooking, I enjoy it but I did more cleaning today than cooking (I'm a clean freak) Not wine but "Pina Colada "
BTW, did Big Smile ever tell us how old she is today.
Oh you would like to know would you,,,,,,,,,I am now 73 yrs young!!

I haven't had a Pina Colada in a long, long time. I don't even recall when.
73? I've flirted with older. You're spring chicken.
I was just checking out the area you are from (or the area listed under your name). That is quite the small town. Wiki (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gowanstown) says you have a car dealership and a post office in some guys house. Man, it must be nice and quiet where you are. But i'd hate not being able to run to a corner store for milk
Actually moving from Montreal to the National Capital Region was a culture shock that took a few years to get used to and sink in. Can't imagine a small town like that. But must be nice.
Enjoy the Pina Colada's and don't work too hard!

[quote="Dumbo"]So umm, what did Big Smile end up cooking?
I made a Blueberry pie . Potatoes, chicken and veggies will be cooked tomorrow.
Had lots of ripe tomatoes so made a large batch of Tomatoe sauce.
Get any Bday presents? Oh yes, got 2 Mum plants and some neat " Garden Art"

I haven't had homemade pie in years. You are making me jealous. Don't think I never even had a blueberry pie, ever.
*sniff*
But isn't it apple season now? I should try and make an apple pie one day. Which apples are the best for that?

Yes Gowanstown is small but nice,,, has 3 sub-divisions a Post Office and a school. The PO is no longer in a house its in the Township Hall (they need to update the website. A car dealership??? oh yes that used to be an Ice-cream stand.
But no , its not quiet here. There is a busy highway going through here but we get used to the traffic. Listowel is only 3 minutes from here.

She can't .. Her scale is broken.. It reads the same whether she stands on it with one foot or both feet.

oh. is this a math task?
So what you are saying is:
If Kelly stands on a scale with one foot and it reads 420-lb and if she stands on it with both feet and it reads 420-lbs, how much does Kelly weigh?
I think this is a trick question.
She put a bar stool on the scale and sat on it. Thus it isn't relevant if any of her feet are touching the scale! It's still 420.
