Big Smile, A Topic For You On Your Special Day
Re: Big Smile, A Topic For You On Your Special Day
Watch out for the chocolate chip cookies Marc! you know how expensive they can be!
UMMMM, blueberry pie! Always use wild bluberries, they taste better than the commercial ones. Apple pie, love it with a dutch topping!

Reversolution is alive and well!
Marc - Mac are good apples for cooking; they hold their shape.
I use Honey Crisp exclusively.
It's a great eating apple, a great apple for cooking, and a great apple for freezing! It's also one of the earlier apples, around early-mid September. Unfortunately, in our area at least, because of the messed up March/April this year, the apple crop was forecast to be devastating. All the apple trees were bursting their buds in March and then April saw them being frozen.

Hmm you learneded me a new word.
reversolution definition (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.p ... ersolution): Fail. Suck.
Yeah I was told to use those honey crisp by someone else the other day as well. Never heard of them. I think I'll have to find a few kinds and do an apple test similar to the pickle test to find the best!
Hmm... I'll have to look around to see what apple orchards exist in the Ottawa valley/NCR. I only know the ones outside Montreal. Rougemont was always the best place to visit. Maybe I'll do a Montreal apple trip!
Hmm...

In the garden forum context 'reversolution' means something entirely different to your link!
Here it basically means that a started topic ends up as something completely different - i.e. the original topic is lost.
There used to be a couple of members who got ticked off by 'reversolution'.

Re: Big Smile, A Topic For You On Your Special Day
I am very guilty of going off topic.
But, you started by defining kootkards and getting me all worked up with belly dancers
Took 12-hrs for that to wear off/work off.
So who is the guilty party? Really?
I wonder if Big Smile is still cooking, cleaning, and knocking a few back
After 2 days of cooking and cleaning, followed by another day of doing dishes, I bet she's glad it's only once a year!
Then there is Xmas around the corner....

I hope not. Limp apple pie would truly suck.
However, we can all blame Big Smile for getting me on an apple kick now. I am now on a quest to try all the diff apples I can find & pick. Hope the kid still has the lab glasses someplace... and maybe a barf bag cuz I get the feeling she's going to eat a lot of apples.
