[Poll]Organic food will kill you as fast as non-organic food
[Poll]Organic food will kill you as fast as non-organic food
So I guess some of you have read this past week about a new study from the States that says organic foods are no better for you than conventionally farmed foods.
Here are a few of the headlines & links:
Organic food's health benefits questioned in U.S. study
http://www.cbc.ca/news/health/story/201 ... ealth.html
Organic foods offer few health advantages, study suggests
http://www.vancouversun.com/life/food/O ... story.html
Stanford study shows organic food no safer or healthier than conventional food
http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/201 ... onal-food/
What do you think about this new study? Is organic better? Is the case made that one shouldn't bother deciding whether to buy organic or not since the media states there is no difference?

Your poll is not working - you cannot vote.

Just tried it. Works.
EDIT:
I find that National Post article a little full of it. I'll have to read up on the author of this one.
EDIT 2:
In previous babblings of hers, this moronic National Post co-editor (or whatever) states a moderate amount of DDT in your diet isn't bad for you, nor birds. I swear to gawd she states this.
Someone on twitter called her a retard. I agree. Fully. But that's just my opinion of someone elses opinion. Guess the National Post can't afford to hire better. *shrug*

I heard and read a little about this.....
Personally I'd like to hear what Inge has to say on this. Remember...there are different levels of so-called organic......That's the thought that kept popping up in my head....
And I c ast my vote Ron!

Working now, the little tick boxes were not there previously.

Either a page loading problem, or the one who creates the poll must also do the first click in the boxes. Must be one or the other.

Re: [Poll]Organic food will kill you as fast as non-organic
Some foods like strawberries are better organic, as they are loaded with pesticides. But then there are coconuts, avocados, pineapples for example that have a hard outer shell, grow on huge 20ftrees and palms, that don't get sprayed, as not even a fly or worm with body armour can penetrate, and you peel it before eating, and these get labeled as 'organic', which they naturally are. That is just hype.
So use your common sense, some foods are grown organic anyway, but you pay a higher price for the label.
It's the same as the mushrooms I saw last year that claimed 'fat free'. Really? Man, got to stock up on those!

Wow, Dumbo! Strong words!! But wrong words...
This 'retarded moron' has pulled together the results of all the studies on organic vs non-organic. Yr opinion on this article shows more abt closed-mindedness than a willingness to read and understand a properly prepared, scientific thesis.
Adopt the pace of nature, her secret is patience.

Sorry if that bothers you, but, her column is moronic. She pulled nothing together. At all. All she did was give her opinion. And it was a moronic opinion based on moronic thinking (or flawed reading, take you pick). Kinda like how she says DDT in your diet isn't bad for you.
I'm not the one who called her a retard, that was another fan of hers.
...And I don't disagree with it.
I believe you are wrong there.
