I remember the FLIT gun and the smell of DDT when living in Peru.

Man what I wouldn't do to chew on a few Peruvian coca plant leaves to see what that's like... Anyone have Peruvian coca plant seeds to give me?

I never heard the word Flit Gun before. I had to look up what it was. Saw them in flea markets or something, but never knew their name, or that it had a name.

Yup! That's the Flit gun. Pretty basic but very effective. No aerosols - no need! Pour the concoction into the attached container and pump the handle.

These Flit ads are something else. Seems these ads started in the late 20's onwards to WW2. ....AND, get this, Mostly drawn by Dr. Seuss before Dr. Seuss became famous! I never knew any of this.

That first ad in the previous post would get you tossed in jail today. Obviously came from a time when slavery and segregation by skin colour was still around. Today if you sprayed this in your kids room you would be arrested and your kid taken from you for endangering a child.

These vintage ads are just fantastic! (minus the obvious racism, of course).

Can you imagine the headlines this would make today of some mother spraying her kids room with DDT? lol

If you look real carefully you will see Dr. Seuss' signature on many of the Flit-DDT ads.
