Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah!!!

Zip-A-Dee-Yay! My oh my what a beautiful day!
Well my son has finally landed a job and he and family will be moving to Red Deer in one month! Son starts work on the 10th and they have an apartment lined up for October 1st.
Gonna miss the little guy but it is time!
They originally moved in for 6 months 4 years ago!

Sounds like you will have lots of energy to help with the packing! yes, it is nice to have the family close, but not too close after a while.

Oooh yeah! I'm helping with the move. Love my children and grandchildren but it's time we all had some space.
Far enough away (1.5 hours) that they are finally gonna have to sort out everything for themselves, close enough for day trips or we can be available in a crisis.

Great news Lyn! You will notice the quiet but will put it to good use.

You were certainly in it for the long haul Lynn! A plus though, you will have to admit, is that you have been there from day one with your grandson - seen him take his first steps, heard his first words, and all the other 'only once' magic moments.
This certainly seem to be the best of both worlds. Only 1 1/2 hours away but far enough that they're not on your doorstep to borrow a cup of sugar every other day!
I'm happy for your son and daughter-in-law. There's going to be a big learning curve for them, but I'm sure they'll come through with flying colours.
