Simply Beautiful Laura! The Lady's Slipper...very close to my heart being a PE Islander! I have a lovely framed photograph that was given to me years ago hanging in my living room. Gosh are those from your garden?

Glad to see another Maritimer back.Love the Lady-slipper.I've never been able to grow them on my garden but I used to see so many in the Area now occupied by The Regent Mall.Miss them. Joy

Oh how I wish .... these are growing in a wooded area of my in-laws property.I was going to collect some seeds and try to grow some but in doing research I found out that in order for them to germinate the seeds need a particular fungus that is apparently rare.I guess I will just have to keep on visiting them each year ... lol
