Sun Dog
Have you ever seen one?
I haven't until today. When I went to walk into the local grocery store I noticed a lot of people looking up and taking pictures with their cell phone cameras.
So I looked up too to see what they were looking at.
This is something similar to what I saw:
The above picture wasn't taken by me but I did take a picture of todays' sun dog with my camera phone. Unfortunately, I do not know how to load it into my computer.
I feel so fortunate to see a natural phenomenon like that : )

I thought it would be difficult to take a picture of the sun too but luckily, the sun had a haze over it so it wasn't so bad.
The other cool thing I saw was a rainbow around the outer edge of the circle surrounding the sun.

No sundogs, no rainbows...but two nights ago, the sky cleared here at 3 a.m. and I stood at the kitchen window watching an incredibly black sky with brilliant stars galore all over it...a magnificent sight. Supposed to be the meteor showers, but no...I will take what I get!

I love Christmas lights too !!! Whenever we go into town at night, I make my husband drive the car so I can see and enjoy all those beautiful lights.
I love Christmas time : )
