How to get seeds from Giant "state fair" zinnia plant?
Hello all,
I just bought for the first time these hard to find Zinnia's of "state fair" variety.
Given the amateur gardener that I am , would it be possible to get seeds out of this plant ( I took a picture below ) in order to seed grow them for next year before planting them anew outside?

Any ideas would be much appreciated
John

I don't grow zinnias myself and I don't know how big the seeds would be but in general the seeds will be in the center of the flower at the "button" Let some of the flower heads die back naturally and when the "button" is nice and brown or very close to it remove it carefully and put it in a paper bag and let it continue to dry. Usually seeds can be removed by running the pad of your thumb across the top and catching the falling seeds in a bag.
