lets talk about cutting material.

okay,I have done work with cutting material for over a year now and by god you have to be fast with it.

ussually one person cuts the camellias one person pulls leaves off and wounds and dips in hormone powder and another person sticks in thats how we do it and you have to wear gloves with cuttings that are sticky with sap.

I have done cuttings with conifers and most conifers need a heel cutting.

most acacias which are hard to grow need a light wound a very light wound.

I am good at making perlite and grading seedlings and also sowing seeds and pricking out into allie trays.

thats what I do in the nursery I work at where I live in melbourne.

if I was teaching a student about cuttings each and every cutting will have to be cut a diffirent way for each species of plant because all plants need to know about how and when they are going to strike.

remember this under nodal cutting with a wound a light wound.

recutts are used after you leave the plant cutting ina for a while and it grows a caluse
and nip the skin of the calus just a little bit thats how I was taught.

in the nursery I work at I have successfully made gaura plants like flowers strike
pittosporums strike into perlite and peat moss.

leaves need to be cut to offset evaporation and water loss.

nodes need to help roots to grow.

and wounds like I said before behind the node enabling it to strike.

what are your methods of cutting material what can you show me that you know about cutting material because I would be really interested in finding out how you guys learned this???I have shown you my methods.
