citrus plants

I started some grapefruit, blood orange and lemon plants from seeds (the grapefruit seed has actually sprouted inside the fruit!) and I'm wondering if it's safe to sit them outside on hot humid sunny days? I have an avocado and some coffee plants I'd like to do that with too. They're normally grown in hot humid sunny climates so it should be ok...shouldn't it?

start them off in the shade in calm days.
too much sun and wind will damage them quickly when they're not acclimatized to outdoors.
