strawberry pot
I've never had any luck growing strawberries or anything else in strawberry pots. This year I've filled the pot with various sedum (ie. angelina, evergreen, purple emperor). Has anyone else ever tried this? I'll post a pic soon.

I think I only tried once, and unsuccessfully at that, to grow strawberries in the pot!
I've also grown:
Herbs
Impatiens
Portulaca
Petunias
All of these eventually almost cover the pot itself.

Good idea, I await your pics. I have an empty strawberry pot....and some sedums growing in my rock garden. I'll give it a try. Thanks for sharing!

I tried posting a pic but the site says I am "not allowed to post files with the extension jpg within this forum". Sorry...don't know how to post the other way. I'll try posting a pic in the garden gallery.
I''m guessing a main reason I am having difficulties growing plants in it is because it facing directly west and gets the added heat off of the glass. I've thought about relocating it, but it is a rather large pot and would require a doilly (sp?) to move it.
So far I think the plants are doing well. I like that I simply just pinched off some purple emperor off an existing plant and stuck them in the top of the pot...no rooting required. All other sedum purchased for .79 cents each at home depot.
