Basil + Tomato (cherry) in one container?

What do you think? I keep reading the basil and tomatoes grow well together. I have four big (24" X 10" X 8") planters waiting to be filled... Is it a good idea to put a little cherry tomato plant and a couple of little basil plants in there together?

I stuck a basil and a parsley in with my toms this year. Hopefully they'll do well.

I'm just worried that they have different watering requirements... I'm thinking I might end up putting the basil with the rosemary this time.
