Ornamental Cabbages by Fall?
I found these very colourful cabbages on SALE at the Superstore (4 little plants for $.99) so I bought blue-ish purple ones and turquoise ones. Then I found this nice red-purple plant called Alternanthera on SALE for $1.29 at the Deep. I've never tried this before but I'm hoping for two really nice big fall planters for the grand total for $4.60!
Do you think there is enough time for these cabbages to grow to a decent size by Fall?
Work is for people who don't know how to garden.

Er... no, they weren't advertised as ornamentals but they are growing nicely (before and after photos at top).... and the bugs are enjoying them too.
