I put show peas in containers, then stick a bamboo "teepee" type thing on top. the peas are planted around the edge of the container, two rows - one on the outside, one inside the teepee base. When they are starting to cling, I help them along a little. Every now and then I rotate the container. The peas do great, the container looks neat. When the crop is finished, sometimes I pop a garden mum or ornamental cabbage for some fall color. Mind you, our summer has been so wacky, there might not be time for the second planting before it snows! At least the peas didn't get smucked by the hail!
