Growing an avocado tree on my desk
Re: Growing an avocado tree on my desk
What a side-splitter fun read, Angus et al!!! Lawdy. lawdy. Too late to vote never mind enter name of "Tom Selleck", I reckon. Heard he grows avocados. [And I like his dimples and other attributes.]
MareE;o} who woulda voted for "Ralph" after one of my bicycles now RIP

MareE, the poll is still open! It's closing on Monday afternoon, so go cast your vote now!
In the last 2 weeks, he's made some serious progress as we've had a lot of sun. He's gone from 4 leaves to 9 leaves pretty quickly. I'll post some pics by the end of the day.

Already voted (for Ralph), Angus. Can "I" vote twice if my dog signs up to CG forum? woofwoof Beware if newbie Jack the Lad, currently volunteering for rescuing avocados from desktops as long as answer to Ralph! haha

Boo hoo! Just plain Sam will drop out of the competition
Wow ..... Sam is doing extremely well along with the new company. Will you be *pinching* Sam's top for branching purposes or taking the switch approach.

Yes, I'm thinking of pinching the top at some point within the next few weeks!

I think mangoes would be a little harder to grow, but it's worth a shot! I've got a mango at home, so I may have a go at it too. Just chuck it in a pot of soil and hope for the best
