strawberry plant

Postby gardendreamer13 » Oct 17, 2013 6:27 pm

I bought a strawberry plant two years ago and placed it in a planter. Last winter I left it outside all winter and I thought I had lost it, but I was surprised that it was still there in the spring! This summer it grew bigger. I am wondering if I should leave it in the planter over winter again or should I plant it?

My potted strawberries always come back. You could leave it in the planter. I usually tuck mine against a shed or something and put a light covering of mulched leaves overtop. You could also plant the container right in the garden for extra insulation!
