Hibiscus, hardy or not

well the hardy are good to zone 5 I think.

More then likely it did survive, but took too long to come back in the spring and got dug up.

I almost dug mine up the first 2 years, I had to fight with hubby. It dies down to the ground each year, and takes forever to sprout in the spring, you can see from my pics, the hosta's and spiderwort's were already doing well, and no sign of the Hibiscus.

Lol,lol I bet that is what happened. In fact I distroy a lot of plants like that or jut plain forgetting where they are

This year I am missing my red coreopsis, asters

I know what garden bed they were in but think I pulled them out along with every color of bee balm there is as I don't see any of these plants this year

If the hardy hibiscus takes that long to come up how long a flowering period does it have?

It flowers August to Frost, and yes it's worth it. It's so chucked full of blooms.

I have my first bud starting on it now.

I bought a hardy hibiscus and planted it in garden. Its flower is beautiful and incrediablely huge! My question is: when and how much do I need to cut in order to prepare it for winter?
