Re: new plants
Hi Joy. You have a lovely bromeliad there, aechmea fasciata. They like good light but not full sun and warm temps.Keep evenly moist spring thru fall but a little drier over the winter months; keep water in the "cup" Feed every 2 weeks.Being a bromeliad the parent plant will die off after it finishes flowering but it will have babies that can be grown on.

Debbie the blossom rotted off so I took it out. The plant still looks fine and there are two pups. Should I separate the pups now?JOY

Re: new plants
I would be inclined to leave the pups as long as the parent plant looks healthy. How big are the pups?
