Plant I.D.????

Does anyone know what this plant is??? I have had it for years it is a bulb and it flowers 3 or 4 times a year.

Hi Jackie...I am going to guess at Clivia (I know my outdoor plants but most of my indoors are unnamed or named and forgotten!!LOL)

I saw something like your flower in a book recently, it was called amaryllis belladonna.

She is a lovely plant! It is not a clivia; looks like an amaryllis type so I would bet the last poster was prettty close in her guess of belladonna. Very pretty! Flowers four times a year? I'm a real sucker for all those bulbuos plants; think maybe I need to get one of those!

This plant might be either a Hippeastrum sylosum or maybe H. x acramannii. It certainly is healthy and strong, and a real beaut.

Thanks everyone. It is going to flower again, spotted a flower stalk this week. This time I'm going to try harder to pollinate it to get seeds. The last time it bloomed I got one seed pod that I broke open and dropped back into the pot. Hopefully I can get some seeds to share.

Betty that Clivia is beautiful. Does it seed?? LOL

No seeds but sends up many runners. Too bad you are so far away I could give you some.
